Landau Live 2000

WOW!!!!!

I just ordered this double disc from audiophile imports. Preeeetty scary stuff.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has this. Also if anyone knows of any interviews with Toss Panos (online or otherwise)


The guy is out of this world - unbelievable feel, very unpredictable, kinda abstract and with killer chops (though they aren't 'on display' all the time)

Actually that could be a description of Vinnie but they dont really sound alike - I guess my descriptive powers are poor (too much Christmas food & drink probly!)

I have that disc, but moreover I've seen that band anumber of times. I'm actually friends with Toss. I met him while I was at PIT and I saw him play there. He has a very unique thing happening. He's also one of those drummers that's fun to watch, he looks cool when he plays. Some guys aren't like that. I think he's better for that gig than Vinnie is actually. Toss's style compliments Landau's stuff better I think.
Landau writes great tunes and is a hell of a guitar player.

After getting Live 2000 I immediately ordered the Blue Horn Album too so I'll be OD ing on Toss Panos any day now!

Im actually planning to go see the trio (with Vinnie) when I'm in town for NAMM though unfortunately I may miss the Mathieson gig the next day - I'll let you know what I think.......

btw Steve I'm really pleased you replied to one of my posts! keep up the good work with the site.... I dont post much but I lurk here on a pretty much daily basis......
